Who we are

The service

PlaneSpy is a live wallpaper for Android that shows aircraft around your location on a map. To use PlaneSpy you need an active subscription, which may start with a free trial. Aircraft data is delivered through our backend, which relies on third-party data sources, and the map is based on OpenMapTiles data.

Subscription, free trial and billing

• PlaneSpy is available only with a subscription. Trials are offered; the length of the trial and the price of the subscription are shown in Google Play before you subscribe.
• Billing starts after the free trial ends, unless you cancel before it does. The subscription then renews automatically for the chosen period until you cancel.
• Payments are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Prices include applicable taxes where Google Play shows them that way.
• You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Play Store > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds are handled through Google Play under its refund policy. Your statutory rights, including mandatory consumer rights in your country, are not affected.

Availability and third-party data

We work to keep PlaneSpy running and the aircraft data accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service depends on third-party data sources and map providers that we do not control. Data can be delayed, incomplete or temporarily unavailable, and a source can change its terms, change its coverage or stop being available. We may replace or add data sources, and we may change or improve the service.

Informational use only

PlaneSpy shows aircraft positions for general information and entertainment. The data is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete or current, and it must not be used for navigation, flight operations, safety-critical decisions or any other purpose where errors could cause harm.

Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PlaneSpy on your own devices for as long as your subscription is active. You agree not to:

• copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
• resell, sublicense or share your subscription access;
• access or load our backend by any means other than the app, or interfere with its operation;
• extract, scrape or republish the aircraft data in bulk.

Your consumer rights

If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply, including your rights under the law if the digital service does not conform to what was agreed. Where the law gives you a right of withdrawal for digital services, you can use it through Google Play. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential obligations, and only for foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract, to the extent the law allows. Liability under mandatory product and consumer protection laws is not affected.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or change the service. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or on this page, and you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect. You may stop using PlaneSpy and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, and in that case we will refund the unused part of the paid period where the law requires it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you live remain unaffected and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. For business customers, the courts of Vienna, Austria have jurisdiction.
